The Opaskwayak Cree Nation Health Authority (OCNHA) enlisted ft3 to develop a new facility that would offer a designated room for smudging, provide dignity and privacy for clients, protect personal information, ensure safety and prevent vandalism.

The Beatrice Wilson Health Centre complex phase one included offices and a medical clinic within a wood-framed building. The base is cast-in-place concrete grade beams on spread footings, while the top features engineered wood trusses and an asphalt shingle roof.

Sustainable design and approaches remained integral to the project's longevity and success, and it qualified for provincial rebates like Manitoba Hydro PowerSmart for using Energy Star windows and energy-efficient lighting. ft3 included additional environmentally responsible elements such as lighting that reduces night light pollution, site drainage to allow for sediment settlement, and sustainable systems, including low-flow plumbing fixtures and heat recovery ventilation systems, to increase energy efficiency.
