The Nephrology department at Seven Oaks General Hospital wished to expand and enhance its research activities by establishing a centre focused on kidney health and personal medicine called the Chronic Disease Research Centre.

ft3’s services included the functional analysis of the space and planning, coordinating, and procuring new furniture and equipment.

One significant design challenge required working within the constraints of the existing auditorium's high ceiling volume (approximately 20 feet above the finished floor) and providing a space that accommodates private and shared collaborative teaming areas.
